One of the frustrations of the off-season is what exactly to do with all the time you would be spending in the garden. There are always the time-sinks of television, movies, blogs, and other screen-based entertainment, but there is now a group in Boston happy to support good winter gardening alternates. That is, reading about gardening. We’re off to a late start this year, but our first meeting will be at Roxbury Community College on March 22 at 6:00 pm.
Our book, Farm City by Novella Carpenter, is idealistic, charming, and thought-provoking. I recommend reading it, whether or not you’ll be able to attend. Contact me for more details.
